Board Meeting Synopsis!!!
(This is a brief description of what occurred during the meeting and in no way are the "items of interest" finalized until the School Board has had the proper time for consideration and approval.)
BOARD HIGHLIGHTS
Rising Sun-Ohio County Community School Corporation
August 10, 2010
Nicole Bailey was granted maternity leave, and Branden Roeder was approved as High School Assistant Girls’ Soccer Coach.
Jamie Works, school nurse, gave a report on the new vaccination guidelines as outlined by the State of Indiana. There are 35 students at OCEMS and 34 students at RSHS who are not compliant at this time. If they are not compliant by August 30, they will not be permitted to attend school until they are compliant per State guidelines.
Mr. Patz reported that the first day of school went well.
The adult breakfast price was raised to $1.25 per Department of Education requirements.
The high school volleyball team was granted permission for an over-night trip to Heritage Hills High School on October 8-9.
Bids were accepted as follows for bread, fuel, and milk:
